What I Find Attractive
The things I find attractive in a guy are not all physical, but some are. I like a guy who is not too big but not too little. He defiantly has to be taller than me. Most of the time I go for a guy with short hair, but if it is a little shaggy, it has to be tamed. I like guys with a voice that is not high like a girl, but like Keanu Reeves. Not too muscular. I like him to be funny, but only at the right times. Smart, but not a smart ass that knows absolutely everything.

Sara vs. HIlary
what i found funny
. they were told different things
. surprised people care about argument.
. they don't ever agree
. she sees Russia from her house (Hilary)
. different view on global warming
. agree that sexism should not
. bikini, milf= cankles
. pretty attractive harpy,
. Alaska hockey mom..lipstick
. woman needs to get in the white house.
. different roads to white house.
. want it
. grow a pair, or i will lend you money
In order to understand the clip, you must one, know what is going on in politics like the election. I for one know nothing about it and did not understand much except that the women are totally different. You have to know a few details about Hilary Clinton as well to know why she said she could see Russia from her house. I do not get that... Sara looked alot younger and prettier than Hilary therefore making some of the jokes make sense where people called her a MILF and said Hilary had cankles. They do agree though that a woman needs to get in to the White House. but Hilary is upset because she tried very hard and apparently Sara was just a Mayor in Alaska, the meth capitol. They also state at the beginning that Hilary was not told that Sara was going to be there, but that Sara knew about Hilary.

If I woke up a Man
If i woke up a man, i would be super shocked at first. Actually very schocled if it was forever. Growing up a girl, I had always wanted to play football but really didn't like getting hurt. I envied boys for being able to play and not bitch about getting hurt. The frist thing I would do would to go play football. Preferably with the hometown team i grew up with, Maryville. I really do not get along with girls as a girl. If my mind set was the same as a male, i would definately not have a girlfriend until it was a for sure permanent thing. If i did end up with a girl friend i would know what to do and what not to do because i used to be a girl. I think as well i would have to go see my parents to let them know what was going on with my unexpected sex change. They would be shocked but if I was still ME inside, I know they would still love me. I think my brother would be especially excited because as a sister I am super bossy, but love everything in the little kid. He would definately want me to play video games with him, because as a sister i NEVER did. I would also find my closest friends to let them know what was happeneing. I would really hope it does not turn into the HOT CHICK the movie. But my guess is that it would not. All in all life would probably be the same, but i would not change anything from being a girl.

The Bull
The Bull by the HSS building is focused basically on any student walking by.
The myth is that if you throw a coin and hit... between its legs, you will get a good grade on your next test.
It also has some sort of warrior riding him. He seems very victorious.
The statue seems pretty old, and alot of students have graduated and done big things, so this can also give this some ethos if that many people have believed it.
This can appeal to anyone's senses. Someone has also somehow glued a dime in between his legs as well. That to me shows perserverence. The individual really wants good grades and others may believe the myth as well. I for one have no aim... so I will stick to studying.

My Weekend
To my best friend ever, Catie,
My Friday night started out pretty boring. Johnny and I actually went to bed at 10:00 P.M. and woke up Saturday early because he worked and I started on some homework. When he got home, we went to Splash Country with his friend, Brennen, and his three year old niece, KK for the rest of the day. When we got home and rested up we went to one of my high school friend's house. I actually got pretty smashed and he took me home at about 4 o'clock in the morning and for some reason turned my phone alarm off so that i did not wake up to go to work at 7 o'clock Sunday morning. He woke me up at like 9 o'clock and i was still trashed but drove to work and hung out with my manager for about 2 hours. I decided to leave work because i accomplished absolutely nothing while i was there. I then went to bed and woke up to go to Boomsday with Johnny. We went home around 11:30 and went to bed so i could be at work Monday morning at 4:00 A.M. When I got off work at 1:00 P.M, I took a short nap because I was not feeling well. The rest of the day/night i felt aweful and Tuesday morning woke up and went to the Emergency Room with my mom. So Wednesday is really the first day of my week since i missed class on Tuesday. See you soon!
Dear Grandma,
This weekend was pretty boring. I went to bed early on Friday, about 10:00 and woke up early Saturday to work on some homework. When Johnny got off work, KK, him, Brennen, and I went to Splash Country for the day. We got home and rested for a while and then went to one of my old high school friend's house. We stayed there pretty late and I woke up late on Sunday to go to work. I did not stay long when i got there though. I was not very motivated. I got home and rested and then Johnny and I set out for Boomsday. I went home shortly after that to go to bed so i could work at 4:00 A.M Monday morning. I started to not feel very well at work so when i left around 1:00 P.M, i went home to take a nap. When I woke up, I felt terrible. Tuesday, Mom took me to the Emergency Room and I missed all of my classes. I fell better now.
I love you!

Your brain on Drugs.
Observations:
Video 1:
- Very commercial voice
- An egg being dropped in a sizzling pan
Video 2:
- Girl is very serious
- Clothes look a little bit old/tattered
Intended Audience: Teens on drugs or thinking about getting on drugs
Tone: The tone in the Egg Video is a little less violent than the second one.
Context: In the second video, the image of a teen celebrity could appeal to one if they knew what show she was from and so forth. I for one do not exactly remember her, but the video still appeals to me because of the examples she gives of what the drug can do in various places in one’s life.
Purpose: I believe the purpose is the same in each; it is just that one is more descriptive. The purpose is that drugs can not only ruin your life, but also affect others around you.
Effectiveness: To me the second one is more effective because she describes more in detail what happens under the influence. The first one is good if you look deep into it, but sometimes people can see something easier if they do not have to think about the purpose, just listen.
Inferences:
Video1:
- The commercial voice seems like it means they are just informing you about what drugs can do to your brain
- They wanted to paint a picture in your head of what your brain looks like on drugs by cooking an egg.
Video 2:
- The girl looks serious, like she has seen what happens to people on heroine. Her emotions come out.
- Her clothes look a little old possibly because she is in a family that the drug heroine affects.
The affect of drugs is happening all over the world. In the first video, the commercial voice talking to the audience of teens and possibly, adults, is kind of casually informing them of what a brain looks like on drugs. It is like cooking your brain and by painting that picture in one's brain, could help them look the other way if ever offered any drug. It is very descriptive if one thinks about it, but hard if you just look at it and walk away which brings me to the second video. The girl in the video starts off with a very serious attitude. She then get very violent with the pan describing the affects on your life on drugs. She does not only talk about the user, but also the people and things around the user. It seems in the commercial, that she could have experienced a loved one on the drug heroine and is taking all of her anger out with the pan. The second commercial is definately geared toward teens so that they will not use, but also possibly to people who do use and could have someone in their life in the same position as the girl. To sum it up, the first commercial is very informative while the second one is very descriptive in every aspect.

Observations:
1) The picture was taken from a distance.
2) Colors: Blue ceiling
Red, yellow, and orange banner hanging from ceiling
The performers outfits seem to be colors ranging from red to orange
3) A circle of marchers standing on the rim of the stage
4) It looks like something is comming down from the banner with red lights.
5) In the audience, it looks like there are screens in front of everyone's faces.
Inferences:
1) Since this is the closing ceremony, this image could have been taken from a distance to get the whole scene of what was happening with the dancers and marches, as well as to see the attention of the audience.
2) The streamers hanging from the ceiling have a unique design on them beggining with yellow and transitioning to red. This could partly represent their culture and the detail they put into things. But also the performers outfits match so it was seriously taken into consideration before hand. I think China wanted everyone to know that they were ready to take on the responsibility of hosting the Olympics.
3)The screens in front of the people in the audience look like TV screens showing the performance, but I am not sure. I think China wants to show that they are advancing with technology, possibly faster than we are (seeing that in our auditoriums we don't have screens at each seat). I could be wrong though.
China went out on a limb to take on the responsibility of hosting the Olympics. They built a whole new building with advanced technology as well as extravagant props/decorations to go along with the performance. When i think of the colors red, orange, and yellow, I think of fire. China could have been saying very blodly that they were ready to host the Olympics. They also incorporated the marchers and dancers colors very well with the banners.
